Caliber is a registered Morgan gelding, born in 2000. His owner, Nancy Drew, bought him as a four year old.  Caliber loves people, and when there is an audience, he likes to be the centre of attention and to make people laugh.  

Caliber is trained in Parelli Natural Horsemanship. True to the Morgan breed, he is willing to try just about anything asked of him. He goes English, Western, bareback and side saddle. He jumps, does dressage and he used to pull a cart and sleigh.  His favourite thing, though, is to go for a nice long trail ride and a good gallop over the fields.

The difficult decision to have Caliber put down was made in March 2022, a day after his 22nd birthday.  Over the later years Caliber struggled with a metabolic disorder that caused him to have bouts of laminitis, a very painful lameness condition.  This progressed to the point where it was more merciful to put him down than let him continue to suffer.  His absence leaves a big hole in our hearts.  Thank you Caliber for enriching the lives of so many people.
