Atarah
Atarah (Crown), a Standardbred mare, born in Virginia in 2005, was rescued in August 2014. After a short racing career she was used on a working farm as a road (cart) horse, then ended up being sold for slaughter due to a broken bone in her fetlock joint. Although we were told chances were NOT good that the bone would heal, we rested her and prayed for healing. Much to our delight, after eight months her X-ray showed the bone was healing well and we were given the go ahead to turn her out with the herd and to start ground work training. Atarah is gentle, sweet and very personable. She is a quick learner and tries hard to please. A young lady fell in love with Atarah’s in the Fall of 2016 and adopted her. We miss her very much.
